Views from Bangkok
In Bangkok, we got to see many former students and others related to my days at the BSC. Here you see Wat, who has often engaged me in intellectual conversation. He was the first Thai friend to greet us personally after our arrival. Thanks for hanging out Wat!

During much of our trip, we stayed at the Bangkok Christian Guest House. On Christmas Day, I was surprised to bump into Keith and Colleen Hale during breakfast time. I knew both of them at Wheaton College, and it was great to see these folks again after two years in Korea.

Here we are at a Vietnamese restaurant in the Silom area. In this pic, you see Ray, P'Aom, P'Nui, June, and P'Chinda. Except for Ray, this was their first time to meet Gana. Thanks for the hospitality!

Lunchtime at New Vision Church is always a great occasion to spend time with others. Here we are with P'Oun, P'Aom, and P'Aeng (One of the unexpected blessings of this trip was getting to know him better).

Christmas seemed to be everywhere during this trip!

Here is P'Pie, my maid while living in Thailand. Upon seeing her former employer, she ran to kiss me! I'm so glad that Gana could get to know such an unforgettable woman.

My former colleague Tuk's parents work at this market. Please pray for their health.

Lumpini Park is probably my favorite place in Bangkok, as it greatly reduces the stress level of life in a big city.

Mr. Toe and Ms. Mon were two very special students. Thanks to e-mail, we have not lost touch.
Ard is one of my best Thai friends. In 2005, I got to meet his wife Pom. It was great to see them on this occasion and on the night we left Thailand.

Here is the Thailand's former parliament building. This is one of the coolest places in all of Bangkok (though no photos were allowed inside).

Judge Maitree, though a man of high position, has a very humble heart. Gana learned much about Thai law after speaking with him. Thanks for meeting us friend!

I shared about Handong Global University at the Bangkok International School one afternoon. Several old friends teach there. Here are Diana Holden, her husband Tobin, and brother-in-law Narong Tongsuk.

Here is Narong, his wife Patricia, and their youngest daughter (who was just a baby when I left Thailand!).
