Christmas Day
Last year at this time, we were hanging out in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand. This Christmas, we got to take things at a slower pace. Around 10 that morning, Gana and I had an American-style breakfast together. I rarely eat bacon, but this was a great chance to do so. After having breakfast and a devotion together, Gana opened her gift. My wife is quite a musician, and I'm looking forward to her further expanding her repertoire with the instrument pictured below. (Some have asked about my gift. Well, let's just say that it's difficult to find stylish, well-fitting clothes for me here in Pohang. As a result, my "Christmas" is tentatively planned for late January.)
That afternoon, two of Gana's friends came over to help her cook. As that was wrapping up, other folks started to arrive at our home. Though I've spent the past two Christmases elsewhere, it was great to celebrate Jesus' birth at my own place this time.
