Spring '07 Semester
Today, I gave the last of my final examinations for this semester. This has been a memorable time for me, both personally and professionally. As you know, this was my first semester as a married professor. Your prayers definitely had a great effect on me being able to balance my home and work life. Also, I felt I connected to my students this time, perhaps more than ever before. I have a feeling some of these folks will keep in touch for many years to come, and am grateful for each and every one.
English Reading & Discussion(ERD) is a required class that I've taught at least 15 times since coming to Korea. Though I never cease to have fun with this course, I'll be taking a break from it next semester. Here are pics of students in the two sections I taught this time.

Tell Me More is a computer-based course that I taught for the first time this semester. Unlike other courses, I didn't really get to know these students(They were busy with their computer work on most class days). However, all had great attitudes, and that added much to the experience.

Advanced English Communication is the only advanced course I've taught at Handong University. This semester, I was blessed to have two sections of it. Though this class sometimes required extensive preparation time(due to a variety of nontraditional activities), words can't express the joy I felt in seeing all that work pay off in the lives of students pictured below.
