A Wonderful Day
Yesterday, Gana and I got to enjoy the Korean "Memorial Day" by traveling to Kyeongju, a historical city about 40 minutes from here. After taking a bus from Pohang, we had a great buffet(!) lunch at a place that would fit comfortably in the US Midwest. After having our fill of various culinary delights, we visited the area's tourist center. We had fun window shopping, and eventually picked up some items for various friends around the world. After that, we walked through a nearby park, where I got to shake hands with several schoolchildren(People from other parts of the world have a certain "superstar" status here). Soon thereafter, we were on our way back home. Before we took the final bus home, however, we stopped for "Pot Bing Sue", a seasonal treat made of ice cream, fruit bits, beans, and crushed ice. Gana and I had not had a day away from the city since February, and it was great to have some quality "couple time" before things get busier here over the next few weeks.

Well, I'm glad that you and Gana had a good and enjoyable Memorial Day. Sounds like a nice "date night". The buffet you described reminded me of the one at the White Swan Hotel in China where we stayed while getting Joshua. I dreamed of it every night...."what will I eat tomorrow morning????????" Well, now that you and Gana have "superstar status" I guess you know how are friend George felt on his presidential visit to our fare city of Tirana, Albania! ;-)
Great to chat with you yesterday Tim! Can't wait to meet you Gana!
