Hanging out with the Songs

One of the biggest blessings I've experienced in South Korea has involved my friendship with Pastor and Mrs. Song. I first met their son Young Wha ("Danny") and daughter-in-law Soo Hee ("Sue") about five years ago while living in Chicago. Last spring, I got an e-mail from this couple, encouraging me to visit Pastor and Mrs. Song when I travel to Seoul. Since then, they have become the closest thing I have to a "host family" in Korea. Not only do the Songs gladly provide meals and a place to sleep, but their examples challenge me to be more like Jesus.

This past week, people throughout South Korea celebrated Chuseok(Korean Thanksgiving festival). I had not seen this couple since February, and it was great to catch up with them again. Thank you Pastor and Mrs. Song!
