Happy Easter 2009
Cherry blossoms on my university's campus
I thought these were "Easter balloons", as they first appeared on Easter day. However, later I was told they are for a different purpose.

"For what I(Paul) received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." 1 Cor. 15:3-4(NIV)
He is risen indeed! Today, Gana and I celebrated Easter at both Korean- and English-language services. I've noticed less of a focus on Easter in Asian churches, and felt this was the first time I've really celebrated Easter in Korea. Our English service pastor went over some of the history and meaning of this day, and numerous visitors showed up to join our worship celebration. On a more cultural note, we received some delightful Easter baskets(including long-missed products from the US!) right after the service. Thank you, oh God, for making this Easter so special!
