Fukuoka Trip
I just got back from Fukuoka, where I did a "visa run". Foreign teachers who change visa status in Korea are often required to leave the country and do this at a Korean embassy abroad. The most economical route is to take a ferry to Fukuoka, Japan. I'd never done this before, but found it a unique experience.
Fukuoka itself is a cool city. There are plenty of things to do, and you're always greeted by Japanese hospitality there. Also, it's great to be in a major city with clean air!
In spite of all the neat stuff, I was reminded that Japan is a country barely touched by the Gospel. I can't recall seeing any churches there, and felt led to prayer walk during part of my trip. Every person who's ever lived, including the Japanese, will bow at the feet of Jesus one day. Please pray that the hearts of these precious people will open up fully to the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
