Last Day of Class

Today, I gave the final examination for my winter ERD class. For some reason, right before the test, I felt inspired to share the William Carey quote "Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God." The students seemed to be touched by that, and I pray that all will be as eager to share the Light as William Carey was.

As the final student gave me his test, I must admit feeling a bit of sadness though. That's because this was not just my last of teaching for the winter session; it's the last day I'll teach at Handong University(at least for the foreseeable future).

Handong Global University has proven a wonderful place for us to begin our marriage these past two years. I've continued to grow in my profession, and Gana and I have grown closer to one another. Yet, we both strongly believe that we should not ever be too comfortable. We've continually sensed the Lord stirring us to continual growth. When this happens to many folks, it means that it's time for a move. Though we've been open to staying at Handong, He has opened a door for us to live in the Incheon area effective mid-February.

I'll be teaching at Inha University, and am looking forward to the challenges ahead. Unlike my current situation, I'll be teaching mostly English majors and a number of Chinese students. Also, we'll be living in an actual Korean neighborhood, which should help to further stretch our language skills.

Your prayers for us are greatly appreciated as we get ready to embark on this new journey. We hope to quickly plug in to an international church and continue to be engaged in active ministry while there. Plus, we're excited about all the other things He has in store for us in Incheon!
