Ralph Winter Comes to Handong

While a seminary student, I read Perspectives on the World Christian Movement by Ralph Winter. It's a very insightful text containing the thoughts of numerous mission-minded folks.

Only later did I realize what a "giant" Ralph Winter is among evangelicals with a heart for missions. Among many other notable accomplishments, he founded the William Carey Library and launched the periodical Mission Frontiers, among many other notable accomplishments.

It was such a blessing to meet Dr. Winter this week. He shared at two chapel services here, and I was challenged by both sermons. After his first message, I got to chat with Dr. Winter for a few moments. While doing so, he shared why a new approach is needed for missionaries in certain Asian countries.
